Tired 'n Tipsy
So, if you know anything about me at all, one thing I'm world-famous for is having the sleep cycle of a 80 year-old. I'm normally in bed around 9:30-10pm, and up before most people know it's tomorrow already. That said, I didn't go to bed until about 3am after going out with Lisa on Friday night, and last night, I did a lot better and was in bed by 2:30am or so. Whew. I didn't know I could do it! Anyways, I'm spent. I need a few days to get back in my circadian rhythm.
What did I do last night, you ask? Well I'll tell ya! It started out with a lot of people running around, setting things up, some eternal promises and a little makin' out. Then there was boooze... lots and lots of booze. Everyone danced, some more than others, and I think there was even a Soul Train at some point! Dinner was lovely - steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad... beer... :-) And for dessert, a delicious white cake, followed by a decadent chocolate cake. A couple of toasts, some heart-felt tears, shaving cream sprayed everywhere... I'm sure you get the idea now. Pictures to follow... :-)

Misc Stuff
I got bored the other day and headed down to Auditorium Shores to see if I could sniff out some photogenic anything, when someone saw my equipment and asked if I was going to the Austin photography meet-up. Apparently, they were doing a demonstration with "painting with light". I met a couple of cool people, but it's always interesting to see photographers, or well, anyone I suppose, doing different things. When we started shooting, 90% of the people all huddled in one spot and shot all of the same stuff. And the lights they were using were underwhelming at best, so I took off my shoes, walked down in the water, stuck the tripod in it and just hung out for a while, texting/talking... oh, and took a few pictures. This first shot is "Under the Bridge" - a photo for Sam. He has the same shot (in HDR), with the same title. He had just told me about a photo thing he went to, where someone else had the same shot, same title... and how it's hard to get an original shot in Austin. So here's my attempt at a purely unoriginal shot.

Myers Briggs Personality Type
Having a BA in Psychology and a natural interest in people, communication and what-makes-us-tick, I'm a big fan of the MBTI. After a series of questions, it's typically quite accurate at describing a person's personality type, how they interact with people, get things done and think about the world. It's pretty neat. I took another test the other day, and I'm INFP. I'm pretty sure this has always been the diagnosis, with varying degrees. The explanation for INFP in this particular test is excellent. In fact, I'm thinking about putting it on my resume :-) Anyways, here's the nitty-gritty details on how INFP's think. I removed a couple of parts that didn't apply, so if you've ever wanted to peer into my psyche and see how I interact with people, relationships, jobs, etc, I'd recommend reading the INFP explanation.
I would be interested in you guys' types if you feel inclined to share. I took my test on Facebook, but there are tons of other ones out there. Here's a good one, and at the end, you can copy/paste some code in a comment and share your results.

Long Center
Walking around downtown, got a couple shots of the Long Center. It's a pretty cool piece of architecture :-)
